“Y’all Go Stream WOAH”: Flau’jae Johnson Gets Surprise Music Promo Mid-Interview

Flau'jae Johnson paused her post-game press conference to celebrate after Climate Pledge Arena staff played her song over the speakers. The rookie’s reaction briefly turned a standard interview into a promo she didn't expect.

Johnson was giving a post-game interview after the Seattle Storm won 77-59 against the Sun. The Wings Bulletin owner/reporter wrote about the moment 'WOAH' started playing over the speakers on X.

"'Oh they playing my song, y'all go stream WOAH' and instantly went to breaking down the game,'" wrote the reporter.

The rookie has the best game of her season so far, scoring 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. "She’s having the best game of her season and got free music promo to hundreds of thousands," added Thomas.

Flau’jae Johnson is off to a strong start this season, averaging 10.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Along with Johnson, Zia Cooke also scored her career-high 25 points in the game, with 16 of them coming in the first half itself.

Although Storm secured a win in this game, the team has struggled to find consistency.

How Will This Result Affect Storm’s Form?

This game was indeed a must-win game for the Storm, as they lost their previous three in a row against Toronto Tempo, Indiana Fever, and Connecticut Sun.

They also lost their first game of the season to Golden State Valkyries 91-80, having lost four out of the six they have played.

They stand second last in the league standings for now, with the only team having a worse record than them being the Sun, with six losses in seven games.

Storm will host the Washington Mystics next for a second straight two-game set on Sunday. Mystics have won two out of the four games they have played, with their stars being Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron.

Storm, on the other hand, has seen some vital performances from Flau’jae Johnson, who is the highest rebounder on the team. Also, Jade Melbourne and Dominique Malonga have been in great form, averaging 13 and 16 points, respectively.

These upcoming games will be crucial must-win games for the Storm. But with rookie Johnson showing potential to be a great player, Storm could get back to decent form.
