The second season of Unrivaled is offering enthralling in-court showdowns for fans, but two WNBA veterans are about to take on an off-court role to increase the league's notoriety.

Besides representing their respective teams on the Unrivaled court, the WNBA vets recently announced they are about to launch a weekly podcast to present their unfiltered takes on various Unrivaled happenings and beyond.

Well, the WNBA stars in the discussion are Aari McDonald, who plays for the Breeze in Unrivaled, and Rachel Banham, who is part of the Lunar Owls. The duo's podcast, "Aari and Rachel: Unfiltered at Unrivaled," is set to start on January 15.

The promo of the duo's upcoming podcast was released on January 12.

Speaking to USA Today about her upcoming show, McDonald said, "I’m incredibly excited about this new venture Rachel [Banham] and I are bringing to Unrivaled this season. It gives me the opportunity to talk about the game I love to play while showcasing my personality, fashion, and the importance of education and financial literacy among athletes."

While Banham stated, "I can’t wait to get to know some of the best basketball players in the world, not just as hoopers, but as humans. I’m excited for this growing fan base to see the behind-the-scenes fun at Unrivaled and what we’re all about!"

The two are also ready to host their first guests, Paige Bueckers and her Dallas Wings teammate, Li Yueru, who is playing with Mist at Unrivaled.

The podcast will be available on major streaming platforms, including YouTube, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify. So, clearly, an exciting inside look at the league is on the way. However, Aari and Rachel have more commitments than just their podcast.

How are Aari McDonald and Rachel Banham performing in Unrivaled?

Unrivaled 2026 didn’t begin on a positive note for Aari McDonald. She suffered a right leg injury in the season-opening game and was limited to just two points. Since then, she has remained sidelined.

Rachel, on the other hand, has been impressive for the Lunar Owls. Across three games, she has averaged eight minutes per game. She has made an efficient impact, especially as a scorer.

She posted six points in the season opener, followed by five in the second game and three in the most recent matchup against the Laces.

While lots of fans are looking forward to the inaugural episode of Aari and Rachel: Unfiltered at Unrivaled, many are also waiting for the Lunar Owls' next match to watch Banham in action.
