WNBA Star Cameron Brink Makes a Surprising Year-Long Commitment

Dec 21, 2025, 5:00 PM CUT

Cameron Brink is taking no chances with her face!

3 months after breaking her nose in the Sparks' final game of the season in September, against the Las Vegas Aces. Brink is now committing to a full year of wearing a protective mask.

Her reason? Simple. Avoid similar injuries in the offseason.

On Friday, Brink posted a video from Unrivaled training camp showing how the mask was made to fit her face.

She captioned it "I will be in this mask for a year- not risking breaking my nose again before my wedding!!!!!"

Cameron Brink suffered the injury as a result of getting elbowed to the face by NaLyssa Smith. She started bleeding and had to leave the floor, unable to continue the final regular-season game.

The Sparks Forward also got engaged to fiancé Ben Felter in September 2024, but hasn't publicly announced a wedding date yet. However, it seems she wants to be cautious until her wedding.

Fans will be able to see Cameron Brink’s first look in the mask soon when Breeze BC faces Phantom BC on January 5th. And as per her video, she will continue to wear it going into the 2026 WNBA season.

However, This Was Not Cameron Brink’s First Injury

Earlier in the season, Cameron Brink was still recovering from an ACL injury that she suffered in June 2024 and missed the first half of the WNBA run.

She came back to play 19 games, averaging 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in limited minutes.

Cameron Brink was also not able to take part in Unrivaled's previous season because of the ACL injury. However, this year she has signed a deal with Unrivaled.
