WNBA Community Goes Wild Over Caitlin Clark’s First Post Since MVP Win

Indiana Fever star point guard Caitlin Clark keeps adding to her growing list of achievements, but never fails to deliver for her fans while she's at it.

Her recent trip to Puerto Rico as a part of Team USA was no different. While Clark played a key role in America ending the FIBA Qualifiers with a perfect 5–0 record, she also put out pictures highlighting the tournament that saw her being named MVP.

Celebrating the journey, Caitlin Clark took to Instagram and made a post tagging Team USA, captioned, "Fun being back out there, US. Always an honor."

Although Clark started just one game for America, her presence was felt throughout the tournament, as she averaged 11.6 points, 6.4 assists, and 1.6 rebounds.

What made it even more impressive was that Caitlin Clark was coming off an injury-riddled season. So how could her friends not react?

WNBA Community Dives Into the Comments!

Well known for her strong bonds within the team, it was no surprise to see Clark’s teammates show love in the comments.

“MVP,” wrote Kelsey Mitchell. The message was simple but meaningful, especially given how much fans enjoy watching the duo play together. After all, it was Mitchell who carried the team during the stretches when Clark was sidelined.

“12 looks good on you. Trying to be Stanford me, I guess,” Lexie Hull jokingly wrote.

For context, Caitlin Clark wore #12 during the Qualifiers, a number associated with Hull at Stanford.

But nothing came close to what Sophie Cunningham had to say, as the WNBA star wrote, "Still pale even after being in PR (Puerto Rico) is crazy, but at least you brought home that MVP trophy."

Even Kate Martin jumped into the comments and added “Casual MVP," a nod to their long-standing connection dating back to their days at Iowa.

But as celebrations continue, a bigger challenge looms over the WNBA.

With the new CBA finalized, the Indiana Fever face a crucial offseason, as most of the roster will be heading into free agency. This will leave the franchise with important decisions to make, shifting the focus to how they build around Caitlin Clark in the upcoming season.
