Right now, the MLB energy is at its peak. And Olivia Dunne’s latest move highlighted that she’s matching that high-vibe just perfectly.
Managing an acting and social media influencer career simultaneously is not for the weak. But LSU’s former NIL trailblazer, Dunne, has pretty much been above and beyond. But this time around, she’s hyped about something else.
“We r so back”, Dunne’s Instagram story’s caption read on April 2. Featuring a photo of herself and Mandy Westwood at the Great American Ballpark, joining the crowd who kept the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates rivalry alive.

The Pirates swept off the Reds in their home ground, with 8-3. Dunne’s boyfriend and Pirates’ Ace, Paul Skenes, played in his peak All-Star form, allowing 3 hits, walking 2, and striking out 5. As Dunne cheered on Skenes, the Pirates won the 3-game series.
This was the Pirates’ first win on the road in the 2026 series. But all the while, Skenes and the team ran the field, Dunne could feel the nerve-wracking pressure. Something she had mentioned earlier.
Livvy Dunne on Paul Skenes’ Game
During her time as an LSU gymnast, Dunne and Skenes always had a schedule conflict. The Ace pitched on Fridays while the Gymnast did her routines over the weekends. But now that Dunne can see him play more often, she has a realisation.
“I always say, it’s way harder to be the person in the stands watching because I’m not in control,” Dunne said before Skenes' MLB debut. “I don’t know how to throw a 100-mile fastball, but it’s hard to have no control. Especially with gymnastics when you’re just watching.”
As a Gymnast, being at the sidelines rather than being in control is pretty much hard for Dunne to undergo; she is just “not cut out for this.” But she knows “he’s got this”. And this sort of confidence is voluminous.
So, with his girlfriend watching, losing wasn’t an option. The NL CY Young winner just had to win the game. Do you agree? Comment it down.
