Alysa Liu became a mainstream sensation after her stellar Milano Cortina campaign, and even Taylor Swift couldn't stop herself from cherishing the fact that the Olympic gold medalist appreciated her.

On March 26, Liu stepped on the stage of the iHeartRadio Music Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles to present Swift with the Artist of the Year award. However, an X update from Pop Crave displayed that she also dubbed Swift the "GOAT" of music, along with sharing the credit for Team USA's success at the Milano Cortina 2026.

While the "GOAT" compliment was enough to make the Blank Space singer blush, she rested her head on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce's arm, with a proud smile after Liu credited her for Team USA's incredible Milano Cortina campaign.

Liu initially lauded Swift, saying, "With 34 iHeartRadio Music Awards, the most in history, she is the G.O.A.T. of music." Subsequently, she also disclosed the reason behind sharing the credit of Team USA's stellar run with her.

Before the start of Milano Cortina 2026, Swift collaborated with the three figure skaters in Team USA, Liu, Amber Glenn, and Isabeau Levito, to create an introduction video for their team called 'The Blade Angels.' It contained the highlights of a few of their performances, with Swift narrating their stories in the background.

Liu credited her for this, saying, "She lent her voice and music by narrating a video introducing me and the other Blade Angels. I gotta say, I think that's why we won."

The night was an eventful one for Swift as she bagged multiple awards, including Album of the Year for The Life of a Showgirl, Pop Song of the Year, Best Lyrics, and Best Music Video for The Fate of Ophelia, along with Favorite Tour Style.

Afterward, the two shared a long embrace before Swift stepped up to give her acceptance speech.

Taylor Swift’s Speech Sparks Inspiration for Alysa Liu

After sharing the stage, Alysa Liu later spoke to Associated Press about the moment she shared with Swift on the stage of the iHeartRadio Music Awards. The Olympic gold medalist said, "She's so nice, it was really cool, and her speech was really good, and I was inspired by it."

That inspiration comes at an important time, as Liu recently withdrew from the 2026 ISU World Figure Skating Championships in Prague, scheduled for March 24 to 29, to focus on recovery and manage her post-Olympic commitments.

"There's so many commitments I have and activities that are overlapping with worlds, and also I don't have much time for training. So I can't be doing worlds. I don't think I'd put out my best performance," Liu explained.

The good news for fans, however, is that they won’t have to wait long to see her back on the ice. She’s set to perform in the upcoming Stars On Ice tour across the United States in April and May 2026.

Alysa Liu will headline the event, with fellow Olympic team gold medalist Ilia Malinin also joining her.

They’ll be joined by a strong lineup that includes Madison Chock and Evan Bates, along with Amber Glenn, Ellie Kam, Danny O'Shea, Isabeau Levito, Jason Brown, and 2026 Olympians Andrew Torgashev, Emily Chan, and Spencer Howe.

So, do you think that she will put up another noteworthy performance in the event, now that she feels inspired by Swift's words?
