Madison Chock and Evan Bates turned their stylish appearance at the Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man premiere in New York City into a memorable crossover event between the world of sports and entertainment.
Chock and Bates have been one of the most successful and recognizable ice dance partners for the USA for over a decade through their elegant performances, technical precision, and perfect chemistry.
The American duo recently secured gold in the team figure skating event, along with silver in the individual ice dance competition in Milan-Cortina, marking their third Olympic win.
The Olympic duo elevated their outfits to complete the look by wearing said won medals in the premiere. Bates styled it while wearing a relaxed black suit, while Chock hung the medals around her neck in a classy floral dress.
While the red carpet premiere celebrated the continuation of the Peaky Blinders franchise starring Cillian Murphy, the American duo took this chance as celebrity guests to flaunt their achievements in front of an international audience.
However, while the Olympic champions continue to make appearances off the ice, their competitive schedule is set to take a pause this time around.
Madison Chock and Ethan Bates Drop Out of the World Championships
The next major event in the world of figure skating is the 2026 ISU World Figure Skating Championship, set to be held in Prague, Czech Republic.
However, the American couple has decided to withdraw from the tournament and will not be chasing their fourth straight ice dance title.
They join Olympic teammate Alysa Liu in withdrawing from worlds, something which is quite common for skaters after the end of a successful Olympic event.
"While we have decided not to compete at the world championships, we hold dear the incredible memories from winning the last three years.
Those achievements have meant so much to us. We couldn't be more appreciative of all the love and support," Bates announced on his Instagram.
While Chock and Bates have not officially retired from the sport, this may very well have been their last Olympics, considering their ages of 33 and 37, respectively.
If true, the duo will retire as one of the greatest USA figure skaters to have ever represented the country.
Caroline Green and Michael Parsons have since replaced the duo and will be joining the team alongside fellow skaters Amber Glenn, Isabeau Levito, Ilia Malinin, and newcomer Sarah Everhardt (Liu's replacement), all officially confirmed to be featured in Prague.
