Watch: Cameron Brink Pulls Off Massive Block vs. Caitlin Clark

While the Los Angeles Sparks failed to come back against the Indiana Fever at home on Wednesday, 2024 No. 2 overall pick Cameron Brink managed to create a highlight-worthy moment of her own against the 2024 No.1 overall pick.

With Caitlin Clark running headfirst at the Sparks' defence in the first quarter, Brink utilised every inch of her 6-foot-8 wingspan to force a massive block as the 24-year-old attempted to lay it in in the paint.

In an X update from the WNBA, Brink was visibly hyped after the block. While celebrating with her teammates, she almost drove Erica Wheeler to the ground.

After a scoreless night in the season opener against the reigning champions, the Las Vegas Aces, Cameron Brink redeemed herself against the formidable Fever, albeit in a losing cause in the 87-78 game.

The 6'4" center ended her night with 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting, along with five rebounds and three blocks, getting back to her usual best in just 19 minutes of game time. This performance came after speculation surrounding Brink's future with the Sparks, as HC Lynne Roberts wanted the 24-year-old to produce more in order to earn playing time.

But prior to the Fever game, Roberts instilled faith in the 24-year-old, making it clear to her that she adds much value to the organisation.

"She had one of her best days yet in practice yesterday. So proud of her. I have so much confidence and belief in her, and we need her, and she knows it. And so she’ll figure it out."

Sure enough, Cameron Brink did not let her coach down and had one of her better games in the league. With Kelsey Plum leading the charge with 25 points, Roberts can rely on Brink to play Robin to Plum's Batman.

Meanwhile, on the winners' side, Caitlin Clark seems to be getting into her groove with just two games back with the Fever.

Caitlin Clark leads Indiana to first win of 2026 despite three-point struggles

Despite the lowlight moment against Cameron Brink, CC was once again the highlight for Stephanie White's team on Wednesday. The 2024 ROTY scored 24 points on 9-of-17 shooting, nine assists, and four rebounds in 31 minutes.

However, Clark had a rather uncharacteristic night from beyond the arc. In seven attempts, she only scored one bucket. A similar occurrence happened in the Fever's season opener against the Dallas Wings, where the 24-year-old shot just 2-of-9 from beyond the arc, including missing a late-game shot that would have sent the game into overtime.

But Clark deserves the benefit of the doubt, as she is returning from a series of lower-body injuries that limited her to only 13 games last season. Moreover, the 24-year-old has improved her overall game this season, scoring 20 points or more in both games with little to no help from her impressive three-point shooting ability.

Indiana's next game is at home against the Washington Mystics, and it will be interesting to see if Caitlin Clark can improve her scoring from beyond the arc in the third game.

Do you believe there needs to be worry around Caitlin Clark's three-point shooting?
