Watch: Caitlin Clark Steals The Spotlight With Jaw-Dropping Logo Three vs Spain

Mar 17, 2026, 10:20 PM CUT

Ever since the start of the Team USA FIBA World Cup qualifiers, Caitlin Clark has given fans plenty of reasons to stay hooked. And against Spain, the story was no different.

It began when Nate Tibbetts, serving as Team USA’s head coach, went to the bench early. He subbed in CC for Rhyne Howard with 6:23 left in the first quarter, as Team USA led Spain 8–5.

The move paid off quickly. Moments later, the Indiana Fever superstar stepped into her rhythm. Standing near the logo, she launched a deep three—and drilled it.

Well…that’s what she does best. She’s is shooting 45% from beyond the arc. She ranks No. 3 in scoring at 12.8 points per game and leads the team with 6.3 assists.

And while she’s here after an eight-month hiatus, she looks fully back in form as her shot came at a key moment.

Spain had taken the lead with 4:50 left in the quarter, powered by Megan Gustafson, who scored seven of their first 11 points. But Clark responded. With 1:18 remaining in the quarter, she helped Team USA reclaim a 19–15 lead, bringing her total to five points.

After trailing early, the Americans closed the quarter on a 7–1 run to create separation. But is this something new for CC??

Caitlin Clark and Her Logo Threes!

While the WNBA three-point line sits around 22 feet, her range often stretches 6–14 feet beyond that. Shots from 27, 30, even 36 feet are part of her arsenal.

Even when she broke the NCAA all-time scoring record, it came on a logo three from well beyond 30 feet against Michigan. Not just that, even last season the story was no different.

Despite playing just 13 games due to injury, she shot 27.9% from deep. So for her, shooting from distance isn’t a gamble, it’s comfort. In fact, she often feels more confident the farther she is from the hoop. And that’s exactly why logo threes have become her signature.
