Caitlin Clark is known for having social media fingers, and she couldn't resist hopping onto the viral 6 7 trend recently, which turned a lot of heads.
Clark is all set to return to the court after her prolonged hiatus to represent Team USA in the upcoming FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. She has already joined the practice camp, besides Kelsey Plum and several others. But Clark's recent practice session contained a moment where she followed the polarizing trend.
On March 8, Clark Report posted an X update that displayed Clark walking up to Plum to discuss one of their practice moves, which the latter "barely" made possible. However, CC22 mentioned that she would've hit a 6 7 if Plum failed the task. Clark may have refrained from using the term "6 7," but her hands followed the signature 6 7 action, leaving nothing to imagination.
The "6 7" trend gained immense popularity across platforms like TikTok and Instagram in 2025, where people make the quick gesture to reference something in a humorous context. It also became one of the most viral social media trends of 2025.
This light-hearted moment like this came as a breath of fresh air for Clark's fans, who had grown tired of waiting to see the face of the league return to the hardwood.
But since Clark will be making her Team USA debut, will she sport her usual number?
Caitlin Clark Will Not Wear No. 22 in Team USA
Caitlin Clark will finally break her idle spell of eight months as she gears up to participate in the FIBA Women's World Cup qualifiers, donning the USA colours for the first time.
Although fans will have to settle in a bit while watching Clark not play in her usual No.22 jersey, as she revealed on her Instagram dump by sharing a stock photo of her wearing the No.12 on the back.
While Clark was spotted practicing in a No.17 jersey, she explained in the "New Heights" podcast alongside Travis and Jason Kelce as to why she cannot choose her own number.
“In FIBA, you can only wear numbers 4 through 15, so I can’t wear 22. Obviously, I would love to wear 22, but those are the rules when you play internationally," the 24-year-old said.
Meanwhile, Paige Bueckers will wear No.4, Angel Reese got No.9, and Kiki Irafen ended up with No.15. The quartet is expected to make their debuts in the five qualifiers in Puerto Rico.
Team USAB will kick off the tournament against Senegal on March 11, before taking on the host nation the very next day. Fans are excited in anticipation of finally watching the return of CC in the upcoming games.
So, what number are you expecting her to sport while representing the USA?
