So far, the world has seen Alysa Liu making fashion statements on the ice. But her recent move suggests that Liu has levelled up her game.

The 20-year-old California native has clinched two gold medals in the Milano Cortina Olympics. But now that it’s all done, Liu has turned towards the Paris Fashion Week on March 10. And at the Louis Vuitton Fall 2026 show, the figure skating and entertainment world collided.

An Alysa Liu update account took the clip to X, where Liu could be seen interacting with Zendaya. In the video, both the celebs posed for the camera and hugged in the end. Though it is not clear what they were saying, Zendaya seemed to be exchanging some words with Liu, excitedly.

And Liu’s outfit did not miss either. In a brown denim jacket and matching mid-rise jeans, Liu blended in perfectly among the fashionistas. She finished the look with a matching monogrammed shoulder bag, holding it in her hand like a clutch.

Liu’s group event performance earned Team USA gold before she seized another one with her phenomenal individual short program skate. But her post-Olympic statement to Teen Vogue suggested that the medals do not define her.

Alysa Liu Is Happy With Her Life Regardless of the Medals

After becoming the youngest U.S. national champion in history at just 13 years old in 2019, Liu turned away from skating at 16. By that time, she was a 2-time national champion and earned Bronze in the 2022 Beijing Olympics. But the joy of skating was missing.

However, she returned to the game this year and helped the USA clear off the 24-year medal drought. The 20-year-old athlete played on her own terms this time and made it clear that she’d have enjoyed her life regardless of the medals.

“I would’ve been loving life outside of skating just as much,” she said to Teen Vogue. “But yeah, I’m really happy with how my life is right now.”

For now, Liu is taking a break from skating, and the Paris fashion week was quite the respite for the halo-haired star. She has expressed the wish to take part in the upcoming Star on Ice tour.
