Tyrese Haliburton swapped his Pacers jersey for baseline seats to support Caitlin Clark. The All-Star guard joined CC22's boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, for the Fever’s season opener against the Dallas Wings.
The WNBA pretty much cracked the cheat code by setting up the Indiana Fever against the Dallas Wings for the season opener. And while Clark went off in the game, McCaffery, Haliburton, and his fiancée, Jade Jones, stood by.
“Tyrese Haliburton and his fiancée Jade Jones sit next to Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend Connor McCaffery in baseline seats for today’s game,” Wish-TV News’ Angela Moryan posted on X. In the clip, three of them could be seen sitting side by side while Jones held Fever’s flag.
The bond isn’t just limited to their four-person group chat, where they only “talk (about) basketball”. It also means showing up for each other, which the Indiana Pacers’ star did by attending the game and cheering for the Fever.
McCaffery and WNBA star Caitlin Clark announced their relationship publicly in 2023 and have been a high-profile sports couple ever since her move to the Indiana Fever.
This level of support follows frequent communication between the two stars. And it's certainly not a one-way traffic, because both Clark and McCaffery have been spotted at several Pacers games as well.
While their constant showing up for each other speaks volumes about their bond, Haliburton has never shied away from speaking his mind about the Fever star.
Tyrese Haliburton Called Caitlin Clark “Amazing”
The common topic between two star players will naturally be their sport. But in their group chat, they talk about basically “all sorts of different stuff.” And the Pacers’ star also admitted seeing CC beyond her basketball prowess.
“I’ve said it many times. Caitlin is amazing,” Haliburton said. “For me, getting to actually spend time around her, be around her, get to know her personally, she’s just an amazing person and amazing player. She deals with a lot.”
“There’s a lot of rhetoric behind her that she really has no control over,” he added. “I think that the way she handles that is amazing... At the end of the day, she’s just a girl from Iowa who’s just really good at basketball.”
Moving forward, can you name any other WNBA-NBA duos like Clark and Haliburton? Comment it down.
