Trinity Rodman cannot stop chasing records on the soccer field, as the recent Washington-Louisville game marked her 100th appearance.

This made the 23-year-old the youngest player in NWSL history with 100 regular-season appearances. The record was previously held by Sam Kerr, who was 25 when she made her 100th NWSL regular-season appearance.

This historic moment further solidified her status as one of the brightest prospects in the game. Furthermore, she accomplished this feat while playing all her games with the Washington Spirit, becoming the sixth player in the team’s history to do so.

Shortly after breaking the record, Trinity Rodman took to Instagram to celebrate her achievement with her followers. She sent out a wholesome message to her fans, writing, “Love u dc ❤️ thank u for making these 100 amazing lets add a bunch more!!”

Trinity Rodman has been making waves across the NWSL ever since her debut season with the Spirit, where she was drafted as the second overall player in the league.

She earned the Rookie of the Year title in 2021 while also leading Washington to its only championship win in history.

One look at her accolades, and it is no surprise that the Washington Spirits had no choice but to agree to Rodman's contractual wishes. However, her demands were met after a prolonged ordeal.

Rodman's camp and the Spirits were caught in a stalemate during her contract negotiations in the offseason. But the 23-year-old's resume spoke for itself, and Washington had to cave in at the end to offer her the biggest payday in league history.

Trinity Rodman signed a record-breaking contract extension, which will see her earning over $2 million annually till 2028.

This makes her the highest-earning NWSL player, and one of the highest earners in the world alongside Sam Ker, Aitana Bonmati, and Alexia Putellas.

“I’ve made the DMV my home and the Spirit my family, and I knew this was where I wanted to enter the next chapter of my career,” Rodman said in a statement. “I’m proud of what we’ve built since my rookie season, and I’m excited about where this club is headed.”

She added, “We’re chasing championships and raising the standard. I can’t wait to keep doing that with my teammates and the best fans in the NWSL."
