‘This Is My Reality’: Jordan Chiles Shares Emotional Moment With Beyoncé

Days after qualifying for the NCAA National Championships, Jordan Chiles couldn’t hide her excitement after meeting Beyoncé at a private launch event for her hair care brand, Cécred, in Los Angeles.
On Wednesday, Beyoncé stepped out in an off-white skirt paired with a matching blazer, while the 24-year-old gymnast wore an off-shoulder white dress with matching stilettos when they met. Sharing the moment with her 1.6M Instagram followers, she posted several photos of herself with the pop icon.
The caption to Chiles' post read, "Some may say this is a dream, but this is my reality!!! Thank you so much @cecred for inviting me!!! Words can’t describe how it felt meeting @beyonce - I'm still in awe but happy this little girl's dream came true!!!"

Though the 5'7" Beyoncé towered over 4'11" Jordan Chiles as they stood beside each other, the noticeable height difference didn’t overshadow the moment.
It was clear that the 24-year-old gold medalist was thrilled to meet her idol, whom she admires so deeply that she even incorporated that admiration into her routines, performing to “My House,” “Energy,” and “Lose My Breath” at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
After the event, Jordan Chiles joined the Gold Over America Tour alongside her best friend Simone Biles, as well as Hezly Rivera and Jade Carey, where they were seen dancing to Beyoncé’s “Ya Ya” from the album Cowboy Carter.
However, besides all the fun they had, Beyonce has unknowingly played a significant role in Chiles' rise.
Jordan Chiles Opens Up on Beyoncé-Inspired Journey
Jordan Chiles’ admiration for Beyoncé is evident in her fashion, as she wore two custom leotards designed by GK Elite that directly mirrored iconic looks from Beyoncé’s 2023 Renaissance World Tour at her 2024 U.S. Championships.
The “Kaleidoscope” leotard for the first night drew inspiration from a multicolored Emilio Pucci catsuit worn by Beyoncé during her Los Angeles birthday show, while the “Elegance” leotard for the second night featured a white, crystal-studded design influenced by a nude-illusion bodysuit paired with a feathered cape by Bronx and Banco that Beyoncé wore in Las Vegas.
Speaking on the August 1, 2024 episode of Vogue’s The Run-Through podcast, Chiles said, “It inspired me so much... I was like, ‘I have to make a Beyoncé-themed Renaissance tour for gymnastics... This is who I am. That’s where I got the motto. I’m that girl.”
She also shared how emotional she felt when she first saw the designs come to life.
“I got the demos back, and I honestly melted... And when I got the actual leos in my hand, I cried even more because I was like, ‘There’s no way that this is, like, all coming to life.’ It just worked.”
Moreover, her admiration for Beyoncé goes beyond gymnastics, as her memoir, “I’m that Girl – Living the Power of My Dreams,” is inspired by the pop star.
Looking ahead, as Jordan Chiles prepares to compete at the 2026 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships 2026 from April 16–18 in Fort Worth, Texas, it will be intriguing to see whether she debuts another Beyoncé-inspired leotard.
So, on which Beyonce song do you think Chiles will perform next?
