“That’s My Girl!”: Fans Erupt As Caitlin Clark Pulls Up From Logo vs. Italy

Team USA cruised past Italy 93–59 in their third FIBA World Cup Qualifiers match despite Caitlin Clark having a quieter game; still, one of Clark's shots got fans enthralled.
Team USA established a 25–11 lead over Italy with a minute to go in the first quarter of the match. With about 15 seconds left on the clock, CC dribbled past Italy's No. 23 and knocked down a deep shot from near the logo that drew praise from the commentators.
Minutes later, Clark Report shared the clip on X with the caption, “Caitlin Clark from DEEEEEEEP.”
Italy, ranked No. 14 in the FIBA standings, also looked strong in its first qualifier, cruising past host Puerto Rico with a dominant 78–41 win, but it wasn't enough.
In Team USA’s win over Italy, Caitlin Clark finished with 12 points and five assists in 22:26 of action, shooting 4-of-5 from the field, including 2-of-3 from deep, while also going 2-for-2 at the free-throw line and grabbing one rebound.
And fans shared plenty of reactions to Clark, who is back on the court after eight months and even knocked down a logo-range shot against Italy.
Caitlin Clark Gets GOAT Shoutouts From Fans After Deep Shot
While several US fans have watched Clark scoring threes with the Fever jersey on, it can be safely said that watching her score in Team USA's colors hits different. Hence, plenty of fans took to the comments section of Clark Report's update to express their thoughts.
One of the followers penned, "That's our girl," praising the 24-year-old. “She is just so fun to watch,” another fan quipped, while one more added, “She’s so smooth with it.”
More appreciative reactions continued pouring in, as one fan commented, “That’s a warm-up shot for CC,” while another chimed in, “That was a deep throw.”
Others went even further with the praise, with one saying, “CC is the best women’s hoops player in the history of the game,” while another simply declared, “MY GOATTTTTT.”
After the win over Italy, Team USA has just two games remaining in the qualifiers, with matchups against New Zealand on Sunday (March 15) and Spain on Tuesday (March 17).
