'Taking over NBA': Fans Go Wild as Caitlin Clark Joins NBC for Knicks–Thunder Broadcast

Ever since Caitlin Clark got sidelined by an injury last season, she has been finding other ways to remain an active figure in the world of professional basketball.

Be it as a credentialed photographer at the Lakers-Pacers game or in the most recent instance as a special contributor for NBC Sports for the Knicks-Thunders game, the Fever star can't seem to get enough of the action on the paint.

Announcing her special appearance on the broadcast, a post by the Indiana Fever read, “CC’s back on the mic, tune in tonight as Caitlin Clark joins NBC Sports as a special contributor for the Knicks vs Thunder.”

While the game is already set to draw massive viewership given what's at stake for both teams, Caitlin Clark's appearance might make it the most-watched NBA game this season.

And this isn't just a random claim: the last time the WNBA phenomenon graced a studio, she drew 4.5 million viewers. The February Knicks-Lakers game, which marked Clark's debut, became one of the most-watched NBA telecasts of the season.

But despite the virality, Caitlin Clark's debut was also controversial, as an opinion shared by one of the panelists, comparing her game to the Celtics' sixth man, Payton Pritchard, did not sit well with some fans.

To the uninformed, Clark joined Maria Taylor, Carmelo Anthony, and Reggie Miller on Basketball Night In America before the February 1 Lakers-Knicks game, during which Miller made the comparison.

However, the Pacers legend later clarified that he was only comparing their style of play, not their impact on the sport.

Having said that, fans could not contain themselves, as social media was flooded with excitement about Clark's appearance.

Echoing a similar thought, a fan wrote, "Lethal shooter, playmaker, photographer, pundit, and landlady (she owns so much space in people's heads). Is there something she can't do?"

Another fan further amplified the same opinion, writing, "CC is great at what ever she does from bb to golf to photographer to being a announcer for network on games."
