Sue Bird Takes Notice of Aliyah Boston’s Evolving Game

The Ghost Gang is in for a great 2026 season at Unrivaled, and the Bird’s Eye View has been dropping hints all along.
“Aliyah Boston looks great right now. She looked great in USA camp. She's now really found her game and just has confidence about this is what I do and I'm going to be great at these things. And one of those things is playmaking."
In just her third season with the WNBA, she managed to rack up 15.0 points per game with 3.7 assists per game. And that form continued into the Team USA training camp along with Unrivaled.
Phantom has played 3 games in total this season so far and won 2. And both the wins ended with Boston securing double-doubles. She ended the game against Mist with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists. But that's not all.
The Indiana Fever Forward-Center scored 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists, which led Phantom’s 94-60 win against Lunar Owls previously.
Boston has been gearing up her play-making game with each passing season. Starting her first WNBA season with 2.2 assists in 2023, that was soon followed by 3.2 in 2024. She had summed up a 3.7 for 2025.
When Bird said Boston did well in playmaking, this evolution was what she meant.
Ghost Gang is doing wonders at Unrivaled
However, Boston isn’t the only one pushing up the Phantoms. The roster is doing great with Kelsey Plum, Satou Sabally, Natasha Cloud and Kiki Iriafen on board.
"I was on Vinyl last year, but now I'm on Phantom and all I am going to say is we do really have a great squad," Boston stated, "Like, are you kidding me? KP, Satou, Dana, Natasha, Kiki Iriafen, like what?"
Sue Bird has already said how sharp Boston has been doing. It can only get sharper with the roster this good. How well will the Ghost Gang tackle this Unrivaled season?
