Like every year, Caitlin Clark’s 24th birthday was highlighted by a heartfelt Instagram post from Connor McCaffery, but this time, Sophie Cunningham jumped in and stole the spotlight.

On CC22's birthday, Connor wrote, "Happy 24th CC, celebrating you is a privilege, and I’m so grateful for the laughter and joy you bring to our everyday lives. 2026 has so much in store for you. I love you."

The Fever guard replied with an affectionate, "Love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu." That’s when Cunningham chimed in with a playful question. “What did you get her for her birthday?” she asked in the comments.

Well, this simple line was enough to spark fans' curiosity. One of them appreciated Cunningham, stating, "My girl with important questions." Another fan said, "You are so funny Sophie."

While Connor, now an assistant coach with the Butler Bulldogs, didn’t respond publicly, he may have already dropped a hint.

That’s because CC earlier posted a photo of a bouquet of red roses arranged in a vase. The same was reposted by McCaffery to his story, adding black heart emojis. Still, the best gift Connor gives Caitlin might be his constant support.

Like the Indiana Fever guard, McCaffery also played basketball at the Iowa Hawkeyes. However, the couple began dating in April 2023 and confirmed their relationship in August by sharing photos captioned, “Best end to summer.”

Since then, they’ve been a familiar sight both on and off the court. They made their red carpet debut at the Golden Gala fundraiser benefiting the Indiana Pacers Foundation in October 2024.

Even when McCaffery joined Butler’s coaching staff, Clark was right there cheering him on. “Yayyy!!! So happy for you,” she wrote. Also, the support goes both ways.

Every year on CC’s birthday, McCaffery marks the occasion with a heartfelt message. Meanwhile, the Indiana Fever standout returned the favor as he turned 27 in July 2025, posting an Instagram carousel alongside a touching note.

"Happy, happy, happy birthday, Con 🥳 You make every day better, and I couldn’t be more grateful. May this be the best year yet. I love you," she wrote.

So that’s the kind of bond they share. And honestly, it’s a gift that’s hard to top.
