Simone Biles is usually seen on the gymnastics mat. This time, though, she’s stepping onto a much bigger stage, and she’s not doing it alone.

It all comes up as an Olympic legend attended the Milano Cortina Games as a spectator. She was joined by her husband, Jonathan Owens, as they cheered during the men’s singles figure skating event on February 13.

Simone turned heads with her perfect look that featured an ivory jacket, white jeans, and matching stiletto boots. It made for a perfect pre-Valentine’s Day date night. The couple sat in the crowd to support U.S. figure skaters Ilia Malinin and Andrew Torgashev as they performed their programs.

But why Skating? Well, Simone got a personal reason behind choosing to attend the skating event.

“I can skate,” she told the arena audience, “but I cannot do anything that these athletes can do out there tonight. I give them all the props. I’m rooting for them. I’m praying for them. I’m just super excited to watch.”

Though she even admitted she could never do what the skaters do. And while Simone cheered for Team USA, it was Kazakhstan’s Mikhail Shaidorov who captured the gold medal. However, with Biles enjoying the Winter Games, now fans are left wondering whether she will compete again herself.

Will Simone Biles Show up for LA 2028?

Simone’s already got 11 medals in her pocket, but she’s still got an opportunity to add another to the list at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. But will she take up this chance?

“Because I’ve accomplished so much,” she told Sports Illustrated last year, “there’s almost nothing left to do. Rather than to just be snobby and try again—for what? I’m at a point in my career where I’m humble enough to know when to be done.”

“If you go back, you’ll be greedy,” she added. “Those are the consequences. But that’s also your decision to decide. What sacrifices would be made if I go back now? When you’re younger, it’s like prom, college. Now it’s like starting a family, being away from my husband. What’s really worth it?”

Well, with 11 medals already, expectations would be sky-high if she returned in 2028. The pressure would be intense. For now, Biles remains undecided about representing Team USA again.
