Nike released the commercial for Caitlin Clark's signature sneakers in late December 2025, but now fans have the official date of their release, and they have a lot to say about the same.

Clark appeared on the latest episode of the New Heights podcast with Jason and Travis Kelce, where she revealed that her signature sneakers will release on "Holiday 2026," meaning September 29, 2026.

An X update from KnicksFinder on March 4 relayed the news, besides disclosing the official name of Clark's signature sneakers. It read, “BREAKING: Caitlin Clark’s first signature shoe, the Caitlin 1, is expected to debut Holiday 2026.”

It also revealed a few other details, stating, "Christmas and Halloween colorways of the Caitlin 1 are also expected."

CC also gave a few details on what we can expect from her first signature line of shoes. She did not get specific, but the emphasis on performance innovation suggests this will not be a lifestyle-first release.

“The technology that we're going to put into it isn't anything that they've ever put into a basketball shoe before, so I'm really excited about that,” Clark stated on the New Heights podcast.

The Indiana Fever star has also mentioned that she will be deeply invested in the shoe line and its design process. This is not a standard endorsement deal where an athlete signs off on colourways.

Clark disclosed that apart from Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour were also in the running to sign her for a signature line. But CC's dream of becoming a Nike athlete since childhood ultimately triumphed.

Nike revealed Clark's signature logo for the first time last year. The CC monogram is clean, bold, and immediately recognisable.

In terms of colorways, the shoe is expected to have a Halloween and Christmas colour scheme for starters. A potential Kansas City Chiefs colourway is also in the works, as teased by Clark, which would be an homage to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Clark’s shoes are expected to retail for $140 for adults, $115 for kids, and $105 for preschool sizes.

While the anticipation regarding the release was massive, some fans also highlighted a few untoward factors related to it.

Fans on social media had mixed reactions upon hearing the news for the first time. While some were hyped to get a pair of their own, others minded the release date.

"What a terrible idea to drop these after the W season ends. So she won’t be seen playing in them until March/April 2027(?)," one user stated, clarifying his issue with the release date. Another one also shared a negative aspect, mentioning, "Should be released when the WNBA season starts, already a fumble."

However, others were thoroughly excited about the release. One such fan penned, "Caitlin Clark's first signature shoe... 2026 is shaping up to be a great year for basketball shoes."

One more said, "CHRISTMAS AND HALLOWEEN COLORWAYS?!! LETS GO!" Another fan was hyped for the festive colours. "Why has this taken so long?" one user referred that the face of the WNBA's shoe line should have been a priority.

"This is what I've been waiting for! I'm def down for a pair!" Another user expressed his pleasure.
