During her recent appearance as a special contributor on NBC, Caitlin Clark spoke about her opportunity to photograph LeBron James in all his glory at the recent Pacers-Lakers game.

Opining on her photographs of James to Maria Taylor, Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter, and Tracy McGrady, Clark said, "That was my greatest shot. I need to print it out and get him to sign it for me. That's my GOAT, honestly."

She also revealed a funny incident that took place during the game.

"I swear we made eye contact, so I sat down the camera, and I smiled at him," Caitlin Clark said. "And he just looked at me with a straight face. I’m like ‘he didn’t even see me,’ but the photos turned out well."

And while James might not have acknowledged Caitlin Clark at the game, he showed his appreciation by sharing the photographs she clicked as an Instagram story.

However, the NBA world divided over Clark slapping the GOAT label on James, though she did not call him the GOAT.

Echoing a similar sentiment, a comment read, "shes like 23….she obviously does not do her do diligence on the history of basketball."

"Not the goat in any way," another fan commented.

However, some felt that it was a moment of game recognizing game, as a fan wrote, "Greatness recognizes greatness."

Mirroring the exact same opinion, another comment read, "Greatness recognizes greatness."

"Caitlin calling LeBron her GOAT!! That’s the respect energy. That’s what’s happening right there," a fan opined.

Yet another fan tipped their hat to her, writing, "thats my girl CC."

Having said that, Caitlin Clark was also at the receiving end of some online hate for her take.

"No wonder you are dumb— Paige a lot better player than you. Overhyped —," a comment read.

Yet another fan wrote, "the more i see of her the more i dislike her."
