While losses are a part of almost everyone's life, not all of them have the same impact, and UConn WBB players, Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong, are well aware of this.

Fudd and Strong appeared on the January 23 episode of the Fudd around and Find Out podcast with their moms, where they respectively revealed the defeat that shook them up to the core.

Strong's mother, former WNBA All-Star Allison Feaster, took the mic first and disclosed her memory about her daughter's worst loss. She said, "I think it wasn't big in terms of like life changing, but I do think the loss last year against USC affected her more than I've seen a loss affect her, just because she missed free throws at the end of the game."

Strong placed herself in agreement with her mother's observation about her most jarring loss, saying, "Yeah, I agree."

Subsequently, Azzi's mother and the former Georgetown player, Katie Fudd, disclosed the loss that she felt impacted her daughter the most.

She stated, "It was sophomore year, you guys lost to Miami Country Day at the Nike TOC, and I think that was a tough one."

Fuzz also aligned herself with her mother and said, "I was really upset [with that loss]. I felt like there like it was my fault and that there was so much more I could have done."

But gone are those days, and Strong and Fudd have a new target in sight.

How Are Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong Doing at UConn Currently?

The UConn Huskies' 21-0 record in the ongoing NCAA Division I season speaks volumes about the team's prowess on the court, and both Fudd and Strong have been pivotal to the team.

Following an 83-42 victory against Georgetown at Fudd’s hometown arena on January 22, the Huskies also won their last game against the Seton Hall Pirates 92-52.

Strong led the game against Georgetown with 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Fudd scored 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. The two repeated their feats against Seton Hall in their last match, as Strong posted 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Fudd scored 16 points with 2 rebounds and 2 assists.

So, both Fudd and Strong have put up strong individual performances this season, which is why the Huskies are holding a perfect 21-0 record.

But do you think this pair will be able to lead their side to a defeatless 2026 season in the Big East Conference?
