Paige Bueckers Sends Heartfelt Message to Cameron Brink Ahead of Unrivaled Debut

Dec 16, 2025, 5:13 AM CUT

On Monday, during the USA Team's training camp, Paige Bueckers and Cameron Brink appeared together for a media interview.

With both stars in Breeze BC for Unrivaled's second season, Bueckers took a moment to talk about it.

"I haven't played with Cam since we were like 17 years old. We've always supported each other, and we've always talked about being teammates in the future...I've always enjoyed being with Cam and all that she does on the basketball court & who she is as a human."

Before joining UConn, Bueckers and Brink played together in their teens and during high school. And it's a sentiment Brink echoed in the same interview.

"You know it's like once in a lifetime opportunity someone has, you know, as great a player she is, I think her mid-range game is going to tear people up. I think she's a really great defender, which she doesn't get enough credit for."

And Paige Bueckers believes in this unity across the WNBA

With the current CBA extension set to run out early in January, the WNBA and players remain locked in a tense battle. Paige Bueckers believes that players staying united is the only way through it.

"So for us all to be together, all be on the same page, ask each other questions, get to understand what we're standing for and the people before us who have paved the way, and what we want the next generation to have... to have those conversations."

With the potential of higher salaries in tournaments like Unrivaled, the stakes are higher than ever for the WNBA, particularly after a season with record viewership.

Do you think they will find a resolution in time?
