With 2025 Rookie of the Year honors, Paige Bueckers was in the spotlight for the right reasons. Her team? Maybe not so much. Dallas Wings wrapped up the season with a 10-34.

Now, they hold a first pick for the 2nd year in a row. Dallas Wings must now potentially choose between Azzi Fudd, Lauren Betts, Olivia Miles, and Awa Fam. And this decision could define Paige Bueckers' performance.

Fudd’s pick could be game-changing because of the relationship she shares with Paige Bueckers from their UConn days.

The duo took UConn to 44-5, winning the franchise's 12th championship last season. This goes to show how well they work together, a chemistry that usually takes years to build.

She has been averaging 17.7 points and shooting 50% from the field this NCAA season.

And coach Fernandez even hinted at scouting Fuzz. "One of my visits [was] to go see a young lady that everybody's talking about as a prospective draft pick. I was there for three days, watched them practice, watched them play Ohio State, and spent a lot of time with [Geno]."

But is Fudd the right option for Dallas?

For a team trying to rebuild, familiarity could outweigh positional need. Awa Fam's defensive versatility could be what Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings need.

With Paige Bueckers as the star, she too desires future success. Now the draft pick remains.

Who could be the best option for Paige Bueckers and their squad, with free agency also kicking into play once the CBA is done?
