Paige Bueckers Brings Christmas Surprise to Locker Room

Dec 29, 2025, 12:30 PM CUT

After a stellar rookie season, Paige Bueckers is going full speed at the Unrivaled season. And just a few days before Unrivaled’s second annual season, Bueckers is wasting no time building a strong bond with her Breeze BC teammates.

She surprised her teammates with unique Christmas gift baskets.

Each basket included LesserEvil popcorn, a LEGO set, what appeared to be a pair of shoes, assorted candies, and a hilariously designed “Paige Buck.”

The gift packages appeared to be nearly identical for every player on the team, including Martin, Cameron Brink, Aari McDonald, Rickea Jackson, and Dominique Malonga. And Kate Martin instantly became a fan, saying on her Instagram story, "s/o @paigebueckers new fav Christmas gift."

For Bueckers, it was a change in her usual Christmas traditions. Usually, she prefers giving a different form of gift. "I once gifted someone a cruise, and it was the best. Experiences are the best gift in my opinion."

For now, though, Paige Bueckers' focus remains on Unrivaled

Unrivaled’s second season, beginning in January, is expected to draw immense attention, especially as it introduces new players and teams while overlapping with ongoing CBA negotiations.

“For a lot of very strong women to be in one area and display that unity, it’s really important. It’s very unique, because that doesn’t happen often. We want to take full advantage of that, have those tough conversations, and continue to stand firm on what we believe we deserve and have earned.”

So far, the league and players have agreed to continue negotiations. However, players have also warned that a strike remains on the table. The current deadline stands at January 9. Until then, all eyes remain on Miami.
