Paige Bueckers Becomes Only WNBA Star to Earn Major Off-Court Honor

Dec 10, 2025, 5:00 PM CUT

Paige Bueckers just added a new kind of win to her belt, one that wasn't on the court.

She was officially named to The New York Times’ list of the 67 Most Stylish People of 2025, making her the only WNBA player to be included. For a rookie who’s just wrapped her first season, that’s a statement.

The Times praised her for an “effervescent 'rizz',” the kind of natural charisma that comes through in her clean, tailored looks. It’s a vibe fans have been noticing for a while, starting with her viral all-white outfit at the 2024 WNBA Draft and followed by her sleek all-black look for the 2025 Draft, long coat, fitted pants, matching bag, and the full elevated-athlete aesthetic.

This fashion milestone comes after a huge year on the court. Weeks after leading UConn to an NCAA championship in April, she became the No. 1 pick for the Dallas Wings. She averaged 19.2 points per game as a rookie and earned WNBA Rookie of the Year. Her calm confidence translated smoothly between the hardwood and the tunnel.

Her style feels natural, not staged. TikTok fits, tunnel photos, and streetwear clips all carry the same relaxed polish. That ease puts her right at home on a list that features names like Shohei Ohtani, Bad Bunny, Carlos Alcaraz, Tyrese Haliburton, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and even Pope Leo XIV.

For the WNBA, Bueckers’ recognition is clear that her impact on and off the court is only beginning.
