Paige Bueckers and Girlfriend Azzi Fudd Could Reunite in Dallas

A potential reunion between former UConn teammates could be coming to Dallas. The Wings hold the No. 1 pick in the 2026 WNBA draft, and top prospect Azzi Fudd is the favorite. If it happens, reunite Fudd with her girlfriend Paige Bueckers on the court.
Odds on favour suggest that Dallas use their No.1 overall draft pick to bag Azzi Fudd. The 23-year-old perfectly fits the mould for the Wings' need for perimeter scoring, as per Sports Illustrated.
Fudd has been nothing short of tremendous throughout her whole stint with the Huskies, especially her final season. The guard averaged 18 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 3 assists, all while shooting almost 50% from the field and three-point range.
With Fudd in the driving seat, the Huskies are 29-0 this season and the favourites to win the National Championship for the second time in a row as well.

Add the idea of rekindling the backcourt chemistry we all saw in the Huskies between Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd. At the height of their game during the 2024-25 season, the dynamic duo racked up 33.5 PPG.
They also posted elite spacing with Paige Bueckers scoring 41.9% of her three-pointers, and Fudd staying slightly ahead with 43.6%. The duo definitely helped UConn bag the national title.
Azzi Fudd On Being Drafted as the No.1 Pick
As for Fudd herself, she does not keep close tabs on draft updates as she is currently focused on the championship.
"I'm really not thinking about it. I'm not on social media too much, to avoid seeing that and just hearing all the outside voices," Fudd said in an interview with Game Recognize Game.
"Because I've seen with all my past teammates, just how easy it is to be consumed by that, and to be consumed by what's next," the Huskies guard added.
While Fudd remains the expected pick and the top priority, Dallas may consider other options. The likes of Spanish forward Awa Fam and British-American Lauren Betts could be viable options if Dallas prioritize on bolstering their defensive core.
The 2026 WNBA Draft is scheduled for April 13, if there are no further delays in CBA negotiations. Tell us which team you think will pick Azzi Fudd.
