No. 17 TCU bounced back from Sunday’s loss at Colorado with a statement win over No. 12 Baylor at Foster Pavilion. Much of the credit belongs to Olivia Miles, whose historic performance placed her in elite company.

With Miles delivering a career night, she scored 40 points. She knocked down 10 three-pointers. And all this was enough to lead TCU to one of its biggest wins of the season. It also marked the most points and most threes by a TCU player in a Big 12 game.

But despite setting a new career high, Miles wasn’t done. As she erupted for 23 points in the third quarter, it marked the highest-scoring quarter of her career. It is also the most points by any Division I player in a single quarter since Caitlin Clark accomplished the feat on February 15, 2024.

This isn’t the first time Miles has made headlines, though. Back in December 2025, she recorded 15 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds for her seventh career triple-double.

That made her the only Division I player with at least 25 double-doubles and five triple-doubles. So far she’s averaging 19.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game while shooting 51% from the field. Still, her latest feat did not come easily.

How Olivia Miles Fueled TCU’s Run?

The game was tight early, but TCU pulled ahead and carried a 61–48 lead into the fourth quarter. The turning point came in the third. Miles caught fire.

She knocked down seven three-pointers in the quarter alone. And that stretch came in just 93 seconds midway through the fourth quarter. With Baylor trailing 66–54, three different TCU players hit consecutive threes to extend the lead to 75–54 with 5:08 remaining.

Miles capped the run with her 10th three-pointer of the night. Marta Suarez and Donovyn Hunter added key shots as well. All this sealed the win and put the Bears away for good. Now, the Horned Frogs turn their attention to No. 19 West Virginia, whom they will face Sunday in Fort Worth.
