Olivia Dunne Goes Viral Judging Paul Skenes Lookalike Contest on MLB Opening Day

Olivia Dunne might just be the busy celeb everyone talks about now, but her recent move proves that there’s really no dull moment with her around.
March 26, MLB opening, the Pittsburgh Pirates are set to take the field, and the former LSU Gymnast had a unique way to celebrate her Pirates’ ace boyfriend. In her humorous way, Livvy called it the “Paul Skenes look-alike contest.”
“So much fun on set for Opening Day:) There’s no place like home!” her recent Instagram post’s caption read. And the video she posted was basically a “in a nutshell” highlight for the contest.
4 candidates started the video while holding Dunne up, as she ran a quick intro. 1st contestant disqualified for acting “too excitedly” to an award, 2nd one got Skenes’ height wrong, and the 3rd mixed up his sports. So, Dunne had to declare the 4th guy a winner.
And yeah, none of them looked remotely close to Skenes except for the beard. But then, Skenes approved. At least his photo did, with a “’ I approve’ - Paul Skenes, probably” quote. But the best thing is, Dunne can attend his games freely.
Olivia Dunne Wants to Witness Paul Skenes Do His Thing
During her tenure at LSU and as a high-paid NIL athlete, Dunne’s whole focus was on her games. Though she managed time for her own social media, the couple had opposing schedules.
“I could never actually watch him do his thing because every Friday that he would start, we were competing”, she said to a GQ Sports interview in 2025. Moreover, Skenes wasn’t really a social-media guy, unlike Dunne.
So, showing up for each other was hard. But even so, Dunne made sure to show up for Skenes games, as much as the Ace made appearances in her social media activities. And as her recent caption suggests, she’ll not miss Skenes “doing his thing” anymore.
So, which game do you think Dunne will visit next to support Skenes?
