After a phenomenal gymnastic career with the LSU Tigers, Olivia Dunne’s recent move confirmed she knew exactly what her next plan was.

The 23-year-old star had to bid farewell to gymnastics last year. The reasons were an avulsion fracture in her kneecap and completion of her 5^th year with the Tigers. However, her media sensationalism hasn’t faded a bit. And Page Six’s recent X post highlighted that.

“Brooks Nader, Livvy Dunne, Noah Beck, and more stars make their red swimsuit debuts on set of the 'Baywatch' reboot on Venice Beach in California,” the caption read, posted on March 18.

In the photos, the former LSU Icon featured with the star-studded cast, stealing the show in a red swimsuit. In the sun-soaked set of the Baywatch Reboot in Malibu, Dunne hit off her first-ever acting stint as a junior lifeguard.

It may be a minor role and a remake of the original 90s show. But for Dunne, who has been a social media sensation for a while now, it means big. And she made her feelings pretty clear about that.

Olivia Dunne Wanted to Curve Her Acting Career

Aside from helping the Tigers win a historic 2024 NCAA National Championship, Dunne was a trailblazer in the NIL era. But even the top female NIL athlete in the U.S wanted to try out something else for a while now.

“It's something I've been passionate about for quite some time”, she said, addressing her acting career. “I was interested in doing that at LSU, but sports are your top priority when you're a student-athlete at school.”

Managing her passion project as an athlete, just wasn’t possible. But now that her collegiate career is over, there’s “more time to lean into the acting stuff and the creative side of things.” And the joy of seeing hard work pay off is even greater.

“Whether it's gymnastics or acting in a movie or a TV show, I just think watching all your hard work pay off, whether it's an individual thing or a group thing, I think it's so cool”, Dunne added.

Dunne dived into the role after taking acting classes, but how much of it will actually pay off, time will tell.
