Olivia Dunne set social media ablaze after it was recently announced that she would be starring in FOX's Baywatch reboot. The move effectively kick-started her acting career after she traded in her LSU gymnast leotard.

Reports that followed the initial announcement have revealed that Dunne's character will be a recurring role in the series, and that she will play a young lifeguard named Grace.

Dunne, in what comes as a major update since then, has posted stills from the sets of the project on X. Captioning the post, All smiles during lifeguard training," the former LSU gymnast was seen rocking a striking blue polka dot swimsuit in the images.

More behind-the-scenes images showed model Brooks Nader, who will be seen as series regular Selene, with Dunne.

Opting for an all-black look with spaghetti straps, Nader recreated the iconic Baywatch run with Olivia Dunne, and also struck playful poses for the cameras.

Apart from Brooks Nader, Dunne will be joined by the likes of Stephen Amell, Jessica Belkin, and Hassie Harrison, among others.

And while we're yet to see if Olivia Dunne's got the chops, the career transition isn't random, as the former star gymnast has been harboring acting dreams for quite a while now.

Olivia Dunne's Passion for Acting

Dunne, since as far back as early 2025, has publicly expressed her interest in pursuing acting.

Speaking to PEOPLE on the red carpet for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit launch party in May 2025, Olivia Dunne revealed that she had been taking acting classes since retiring from gymnastics the previous month.

"It's something I've been passionate about for quite some time," she said. "I was interested in doing that at LSU, but sports are your top priority when you're a student-athlete at school; school and sports, but really, gymnastics was my main focus."

Dunne continued, "And now that I'm done with school, I have more time to lean into the acting stuff and the creative side of things."
