As the most dominant team in history with eight consecutive Olympic golds starting from the 1996 Atlanta Games, the US Women's Senior National Basketball Team is now ready to lace up again. The FIBA World Cup happening next September will see a team that, as Beuckers put it, is a "young and turnt crew."

The updates on the official X page of USA Basketball showed players being "reunited" at Durham, North Carolina, for the camp. It also posted a video of Clark arriving at the camp on December 11. With CC having played only 13 games and being out since July due to a groin injury, her return for the training camp is big news.

Clark is now surrounded by familiar faces at the camp. Alongside her, the camp has an attendance of her Indiana Fever teammate Aliyah Boston and her head coach Stephanie White. Sonia Citron, Paige Bueckers, Angel Reese, Kelsey Plum, and Cameron Brink, to name a few, are also touching down in Durham for the weekend.

Sue Bird Praises Caitlin Clark for her Maturity

WNBA legend Sue Bird will be playing a vital role as National Team Managing Director and will be the one to evaluate players and pick the roster. While talking to the media going into the camp, she had a very strong message to share about Caitlin.

“The first thing that came to mind, and this comes to the whole Indiana Fever, they did a great job engaging in their season…I thought what was most impressive was the way she stayed engaged…that speaks to her maturity," Bird said, per Geoff Magliocchetti.

As the training camp is set to begin and the evaluations are to happen from December 12 - 14, it would be interesting to see how Sue takes charge of the team and rolls out a roster fit for Berlin.
