A star-studded night unfolded at Jordan Chiles' final time competing at home, as several celebrities showed up to support the Olympic gymnast, including the noted singer-songwriter, Chloe Bailey.

Besides Bailey, the other celebs who were spotted at the event were singer Normani, model Winnie Harlow, and WNBA star Lexie Brown. For UCLA, the night served as an example of the program's cultural reach.

The group enjoyed what was described as a "girls' night out" by the Big Ten network on X, showing their support for Chiles and the UCLA gymnastics team.

No.5 UCLA beat No.12 Utah 197.850 to 197.400 on Saturday, thanks to Chiles' 39.800 all-around score. The event was successful for the Bruins, as they bid farewell to Chiles alongside three other seniors, Ciena Alipio, Madisyn Anyimi, and Carissa Clay.

Chiles brought the nostalgia back from her sophomore year, performing her 2023 floor routine to a mix of 90s hip-hop anthems and R&B hits.

“Every (floor) routine I’ve done, I’ve left a legacy,” Chiles said. “I wanted to relive those moments – whether I get 10s on them, whether I don’t, it doesn’t matter. It’s about being able to create new memories with the teammates around me and be able to bring back those old memories I get to cherish.”

The Pauley Pavilion hosted 13,089 fans in attendance, a school record to watch Chiles's final appearance. Bruins coach Janelle McDonald described the energy in the stadium as "magic."

Chiles has been lighting up the Pauley since 2022, but it all came to an end on Saturday night in the iconic arena, as she landed her final tumbling pass.

“We bring Pauley everywhere. I am Pauley, … the music, the vibes, the everything — we are Pauley, and I think that’s why it’s so easy for us to walk into an arena and look at [it] and be like, ‘You know what, this is our house.” Chiles said. “If we’re the best show in L.A., we can be the best show in the world."

Many gymnasts seemed emotional after finishing their routines, particularly on the "balance beam", in which three seniors took part. Chiles and Alipio led the team's scoring, contributing to the team's 49.400. Meanwhile, graduate student Carissa Clay made her debut on the apparatus.

The Bruins will now travel to Champaign III., to compete in the Big Ten Conference championship meet.

Jordan Chiles Bids Farewell to her UCLA Gym Era

Jordan Chiles reflected on her journey with the Bruins before her final home meet. The 24-year-old started gymnastics at the age of six, but it was not until she was a teenager that she finally pursued a serious career in the sport.

"Every time that I did go into the gym, it was really like, 'OK, this is your priority. You’re dedicated to this,'" Chiles told The Daily Bruin.

She finally fulfilled her dream in 2021 by participating in the Tokyo Games, where she secured silver in the team event. She returned in the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she won the gold in the team event again.

Chiles said with tears that she will remember her era at UCLA fondly and the memories she shared with each one of her coaches and teammates before she headed to her last meet.

She now plans to focus on expanding her SHERO Athlete Collective, a mentorship program for female athletes. Beyond sports, she hopes to break into the acting and fashion world, with one major goal still on her bucket list—attending the Met Gala.

So, in which role are you expecting to watch her next? A movie, like Olivia Dunne?
