Nike’s $28M Caitlin Clark Move Arrives Right on Christmas Day

On August 25, 2025, Nike unveiled Caitlin Clark's logo. "To me, this is more than just a logo, it’s a dream come true," Clark said. Now, exactly two months later, the shoe brand has dropped another collab on Christmas.

The 23-year-old star has been with Nike since 2022. However, she signed the $28 million deal in April 2024. Since then, Nike has been slowly building toward her signature shoe launch coming next year, and they pulled out all the stops for this Christmas special.

The commercial revolved around Clark's success with long-range three-pointers, with cameos from the Kelce brothers, Iowa coach Lisa Bluder, Travis Scott, and other stars.

Jason Kelce claimed, “She can’t make it from there,” and Travis Kelce reinforced that with, “No chance.” Even Che asked her to shoot from the stand-up stage, while Scott sent a challenge from a concert as ‘Boys Wanna Be Her’ by Peaches played in the background.

Bluder, however, showed her confidence in Clark, saying, “I’m not even gonna ask.” Standing next to the former Iowa star’s memorial on the Carver-Hawkeye Arena floor.

However, Nike's caption revealed the commercial wasn't just about Clark's three-pointer prowess, but the fact that any aspiring athlete can make it to the top. "Caitlin Clark is proof that you can make it From Anywhere," read the caption.

Nike’s Statement for Caitlin Clark Highlights Her Strengths

Clark showed her commitment to Nike earlier in 2024, when she refused a more lucrative offer by Under Armour. Needless to say, the WNBA star is a lucky one for Nike as well.

“At Nike, we’ve always drawn inspiration not only from the world’s greatest athletes but also from those who elevate the spirit of sport itself,” said Ann Miller, the executive vice president of Nike Global Sports Marketing.

“Caitlin exemplifies both — an exceptional basketball player and an outstanding ambassador for the game. We’re excited to take this next step together, continuing to shape this historic time for women’s basketball, and pushing the game and industry forward," the brand said.

With this Christmas commercial, Nike has officially kicked off the countdown to CC's signature shoe, releasing in Spring 2026. So the question is: Are you excited?
