One year after Serena Williams broke the internet with her moves, the NFL is back in her Instagram mentions as another Super Bowl approaches.

On February 5, 2026, the NFL dropped a 5-word reminder in the caption of their post that no matter what, the 2025 Super Bowl halftime will always be memorable.

The post featured a clip of Serena Williams dancing during the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, to Kendrick Lamar’s 2024 hit Not Like Us on February 9, 2025. The caption read, “This will always be iconic.”

Both Williams and Lamar grew up in Compton. And in 2025, the rapper reached out to Williams, wanting “to do something together forever”. The 23 Grand Slam champion did not hide her excitement.

"I'm like, 'Super Bowl? Are you serious? When in the world would I ever be able to dance at a Super Bowl? (Never) Let's do it!" said Williams.

And so it happened, an iconic song, duo, and performance that the league cannot get over, even a year later. While Bad Bunny is slated to perform during halftime, Williams has booked a different slot.

Serena Williams’ 2026 Super Bowl Commercial Appearance

The 44-year-old will appear in a Super Bowl commercial on February 8, 2026. The 30-second ad ‘Healthier on Ro’ features Williams in a tennis skirt, talking about her personal experience with the GLP-1 weight-loss medication.

Williams also appeared in the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) Registered Testing Pool in October 2025. Which is a mandatory step for any retired player planning a comeback. But she mentioned her current focus on family as a “stay-at-home mom and housewife”.

However, the star hasn’t rejected it completely either. In a January 29, 2026, interview on The Today Show, Williams said, “I don’t know, I’m just going to see what happens”, when she was asked about her return. But the medication and the ITIA pool might mean something in the future.
