Unrivaled's first visit to Philadelphia on January 31, Marina Mabrey set a new record, based on her strongest aspect of the game: scoring.

If anything was constant in the 2026 Unrivaled season, it was the Lunar Owls’ constant struggle to win. But they secured their No. 2 win by handing the Rose an 85-75 defeat, and they’ve got Mabrey to thank.

The Owls’ 3 delivered a groundbreaking performance against Rose, where Mabrey set a new record by scoring 47 points and 3 rebounds. She was at the top of her game from the first quarter, with 27 points in a historic 7-minute stretch. The Owls’ Wing also shot four consecutive 3-pointers in the match.

Earlier, Vinyl’s Dearica Hamby recorded the highest score in the league with 40 points. But Mabrey crushed that in the Xfinity Mobile Arena. She shot 18-28 from the field and 10-15 from beyond the 3P arc. Her 47 points came startlingly within just 21 minutes.

In the WNBA, Mabrey’s career high is 36 points for the Chicago Sky, which she scored in 2023 against the Indiana Fever in under 38 minutes. However, this is not the only record that was set this Saturday.

Unrivaled Beat the W League in Match-Breaking Attendance Record

For the first time in the history of women’s professional basketball, an arena held 21,490 fans for a sold-out doubleheader, and it was an Unrivaled event.

With such numbers, the 3v3 league topped even the WNBA’s highest attendance, which was 20,711 on September 19, 2024, when Caitlin Clark played the final game of her rookie season against the Washington Mystics.

And not just Unrivaled, this attendance is also a record for Xfinity Mobile Arena. Basketball royalty Dawn Staley and 76ers guard Kyle Lowry were present in the crowd. The audience enjoyed Phantom beating Breeze in a 71-68 upset before moving on to the Lunar Owls-Rose showdown.

For the Arena, it was a big moment. But for the 3v3 league with a short history, it was even bigger.

“It’s just a testament to what we’re building here, how much people believe in it. So, to have the city show out like this, to break a record in all of women’s professional basketball here tonight, and for it to be Unrivaled, I think it’s just amazing. The future’s Unrivaled”, league’s co-founder Napheesa Collier said after the game.

So, on January 31, a symphony of three records was created in just a day, with Mabrey creating one of them.

But do you think she will be able to lead the Owls to another win in their next match? Let us know what you think in the comments!
