Fans’ favourite “crash-out queen” Marina Mabrey went off at Courtney Williams. And with that came Lunar Owls’ first win of the 2026 Unrivaled season.

The Owls went against Vinyl today and finally broke their winless streak with a 68-57. But in the process, both Williams and Mabrey were assigned technical fouls.

Vinyl was leading with 24-23 in the second quarter, and Mabrey was targeting the basket. But things got spiced up between the Vinyl Guard and Owls’ Wing as she was winning the race. But luckily, both Dearica Hamby and Brittney Griner got fast into the scene.

"That was a foul-ughhh! I'm f****** going to k*** somebody! I swear to God! You think I'd just shoot like that for nothing?", Mabrey said while going over the sidelines.

The Owls have been doing pretty badly this season. Although Mabrey has been averaging 27.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 6.4 assists, there was no win. But today’s on-court clash really fired things up.

Mabrey racked up 31 points, 9 rebounds, and the player of the game title. While Aaliyah Edwards scored 13 points. She’s averaging 21.8 points and 12.2 rebounds per game.

What really got the Owls the win is the 4th quarter 9-3 lead. Which Mabrey closed with a 3-pointer.

What’s Next for Vinyl

The Owls have gotten their first win. However, Vinyl’s game this season has been strong from the start. They had an 81-66 win against Breeze in their last game.

Hamby scored 21 points, 6 rebounds, and Rhyne Howard scored 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Griner added 17 points and 7 rebounds. Williams managed 6 assists.

Hamby’s game has been particularly strong. Her career-high 40 points in Unrivaled remain unbeaten. Vinyl is 5 games in and has lost thrice. But with the WNBA veterans in the roster, it’s a matter of time before they flip the game.

Will they be able to secure their next win?
