“Love This!”: Fans React to Clippers Spirit Taking On UCLA’s Iconic Dance

During the Thunder vs. Clippers game, the national champion UCLA Bruins women's basketball performed their now-iconic celebration dance, drawing a lot of attention online, and fans presented a mixed bag of reactions to it.

Earlier today, the LA Clippers took to X to share a clip of the dance performance and captioned it as, "Couldn’t have @UCLAWBB in the building and not have Clippers Spirit learn their ICONIC dance."

In the clip, the NCAA tournament-winning UCLA Bruins team members, Lauren Betts, Gabriela Jaquez, and Charlisse Leger-Walker, were seen celebrating their victory by teaching the Clippers Spirit dance team their signature routine at Pauley Pavilion.

The players first performed the dance during their postgame celebration after beating the South Carolina Gamecocks 79–51 last Sunday.

It marked their first NCAA championship and also their first as a Big Ten team, while their previous national title came back in the 1977–78 season when women’s college basketball was played under the AIAW.

While the celebration lit up the arena, the game’s result and fan reactions told a more mixed story online.

Fans Split as UCLA Celebration Shines Despite Clippers’ Heavy Loss

“Love this! GO BRUINS,” one fan penned in the comments section of LA Clippers' X update, displaying his appreciation for the trio's cameo. Another fan echoed similar thoughts, stating, “Those UCLA gals are something else!”

A third fan also shared the same opinion. He said, “They look so happy doing it - how can u not cheer them on?” One more agreed to the narrative, saying, “I really like their vibe and spirit! Fun looking group that enjoys to be around each other!.”

However, not all reactions were positive. After the Los Angeles Clippers lost 110–128 to the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder on April 8, 2026, one user criticized the moment, saying, “Imagine getting blown out at home, and the dancers put on a better show lol.”

Several others also criticized the performance with comments like, "Cringy as hell," and "This is so c****."

So, while fans got divided regarding their take on the UCLA girls' performance, which side would you place yourself on?
