Livvy Dunne Opens Up on How Paul Skenes Almost Missed His Chance

Olivia Dunne may have her hands busy with her latest celeb activities. But there wasn’t a shortage of time to talk about her relationship, though.

Besides her athleticism and social media influencer role, there’s one thing that the internet knows this former LSU gymnast for. That is, her relationship with the Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes. But what if it never worked out?

Well, that could have been the case, Livvy says. Her point was, “He wouldn’t follow me back on Instagram”, as per GQ Sports. “I was like, 'Who is this kid and why won’t he follow me back?”, and just like that, things could’ve gone unnoticed.

Unless it didn’t. Unlike Dunne, Paul just wasn’t the social media type and checked his Instagram notifications rarely. So, back in 2023, this couple wouldn’t have formed if the mutual friends hadn’t set the pair up for a group hangout at a country music concert.

It gave Skenes the chance to shoot his shot, and ever since the first date, they’ve been inseparable. Though there were schedule conflicts, both Dunne and Skenes have been there for each other just like any other couple.

Dunne might be making the best of her acting career with the Baywatch Reboot shoot currently, but things were quite hectic when she was still at LSU. Different sports, different leagues, so the schedule conflicts were a part of their lives.

“I could never actually watch him do his thing because every Friday that he would start, we were competing”, she said. But they made sure to tune things up, with Dunne showing up to support Skenes’ MLB games and him constantly being there for her, too.

And one of Dunne’s latest social media moves highlighted that. She posted a clip with a caption that read, "He doesn't know it yet, but he has to help me put on the duvet cover when we get home."

So, whatever these two have got going is funny, entertaining, but also as real as it could get. But they'd better credit those friends who set them up, though! Do you agree? Comment it down.
