Lisa Leslie Takes Spotlight Alongside Cameron Brink and Dominique Malonga at Unrivaled

WNBA legend Lisa Leslie is making her mark on the next generation. The Hall of Famer joined Cameron Brink and Dominique Malonga just before Breeze BC's tough game against the league leaders.
On January 27, ShowCaseShabazz posted a clip of Lisa Leslie hitting the paint with Malonga and Brink on X. The video showed the three-time WNBA MVP and two-time champion giving the two a drill before Breeze went against the Laces.
Although Laces BC handed Breeze a 76-67 loss, Leslie’s pre-game coaching helped Malonga rack up 18 points and 12 rebounds.
"She said, Lisa's impacted the defensive side of her game the most. Working on contact with the forearm, tracking the ball, and being better about defending without fouling," the presenter in the video said about Malonga praising Leslie.
Leslie’s WNBA career has almost come full circle, and while she isn't coaching anyone in the WNBA yet, she's mentoring Dominique Malonga in Unrivaled.
The 53-year-old is already proving herself as a visionary mentor. In 2025, she praised Malonga’s dunking skills on practice. On January 24, Malonga got one in against the Lunar Owls.
Lisa Leslie Was the Dunking Pioneer of the WNBA
On July 30, 2002, Leslie made history as the first dunker in the W. The LA Sparks star slammed a one-handed dunk against the Miami Sol. That set a precedent for future dunkers like Candace Parker and Brittney Griner.
Over two decades later, Nike honored that historic play as the WNBA icon got a special edition Dunk Low "Lisa Leslie" shoe in 2022. While Leslie only dunked twice in her career, the shoe was a highlight of her contribution in the league.
Now, even beyond the WNBA, Lisa Leslie is helping youngsters like Malonga and Brink realize their potential. However, after their loss to Laces BC, Cameron Brink, Dominique Malonga, and Breeze BC currently sit in fourth place on the table.
So the question is: Will Leslie's guidance help them bounce back in the next game? Tell us what you think in the comments.
