Caitlin Clark always shows up for her friends and family, and this time was no different.

The excitement started when Gabbie Marshall shared a major personal announcement. After dating her boyfriend, Spencer Touro, for three years, the couple got engaged on February 18, 2026.

Marshall announced the news in an Instagram post on February 22, “2-18-26 WE’RE ENGAGED!! 💍So excited for this next chapter of our lives! And we’ve got a new friend to join us for the ride 🐶 Thank you so much to @the_jewelers_bench for creating the most beautiful ring. It is perfect!”

As expected, the big update quickly made its way to Clark’s feed. She didn’t hesitate to celebrate her former Iowa teammate. “LETSSSSS RAGEEEE,” Clark commented. “CONGRATS SISTA.”

The reaction wasn’t surprising. The Indiana Fever standout and Marshall built a strong bond during their four years at Iowa. They were one of the Hawkeyes’ most dynamic duos on the court.

While Marshall went undrafted and CC was selected No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, their support for each other has never changed. So, how could CC not respond when Marshall’s taking big step in life!

How did Gabbie Meet The Love of Her Life?

Spencer Touro is also a former University of Iowa student. He majored in sport and recreation and works as a wellness coach intern at Pro-Fit Gym. Since May 2022, he has also served as the head sophomore baseball trainer at Benton Community Secondary School.

Their shared love of sports and college experiences brought them together. While fans had speculated about their relationship since 2021, but the couple made it Instagram official in August 2023 when Touro posted a photo with Marshall.

So yes, just like Connor and CC, Sports have always played a central role in Marshall’s life, too. She developed a passion for basketball at a young age, inspired by her parents, who were both former collegiate players. Her mother played at Aquinas, while her father played at Bellarmine.

With such strong ties to athletics, it’s no surprise their relationship grew naturally. Now that one of CC’s former teammates is engaged, fans can’t help but wonder, will Clark be next?
