Jordan Brand did something special for the best young basketball players. The Jumpman family made sure that Azzi Fudd and Kiki Rice would always remember the biggest day of their careers.
The brand gifted the 'Precious Medals Pack' to Fudd and Rice, which honors the Jordan women of the past, present, and future.
The duo received fresh kicks, including a new Heir Series 2, AJ Maya Moore PE, and the Sixty Plus Low. Azzi Fudd was seen opening the medal-shaped box for the first time ahead of her big day in a video posted by Made for the W on X.
Fudd was the latest women's college basketball player to sign a deal with the Jordan brand last month before the start of March Madness.
"I grew up watching what the Jumpman meant to basketball and to the culture around the game, so becoming part of the Jordan Brand family represents what I am stepping into and the greatness that I aspire to be," Fudd said in a press release.
The deal came just at the right time, as the "People's Princess" recorded her career-best averages this season with the UConn Huskies.
Fudd averaged 17.7 points, 3 assists, and 2.6 rebounds with a field goal percentage of 46.9 and a very healthy 44 per cent shooting from beyond the arc. She led the Huskies to their 25th Final Four appearance.
Meanwhile, Kiki Rice created history with the Jordan brand in 2022 after becoming the brand’s first individually sponsored collegiate athlete.
Rice was one of the stars in a stacked Bruins lineup who handed them their first national championship this season.
With the WNBA Draft just hours away, both athletes are poised to learn which teams will select them.
Predicting Where the Jordan Brand NIL Players Will Land in the Draft
Throughout the offseason, it was looking like the Dallas Wings would choose a big like UCLA's Lauren Betts or Spain's Awa Fam to address their defensive issues, but that need has now been fulfilled with the addition of last year's co-DPOY in Alanna Smith.
Now, it is looking increasingly likely that Dallas will choose Azzi Fudd as the No.1 overall Draft pick. Her already established connection with former Husky Paige Bueckers also helps.
Kiki Rice, on the other hand, who averaged 15.3 points, 6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in her final college season, is now expected to finish as a top 5 pick in the overall draft.
This increase comes after the Bruins' near-perfect season in which Rice played the huge role of an anchor.
So, where do you think the Jordan brand athletes will be drafted?
