‘It’s Been Real’: Kai Trump Reflects on Comeback After Time Away

After an injury setback and a not-so-great season, Kai Trump finally has some positive outlooks about her golfing career.

The LPGA debut in Annika 2025 didn't go well for the 18-year-old, who finished last after a missed cut. And soon, another roadblock showed up, guised as surgery. But finally, Trump felt confident about her future run.

“I am so back”, a practising Trump said in her latest YouTube video on April 10. “It's been real. Hoping to come back in the end of May, June. But yeah, stay tuned.”

The young golfer has enrolled in the University of Miami and will be kick-starting her time there in August. She’ll participate in the women's golf season starting in the fall and will try to work things out after setbacks.

To say the least, her transition into professional golfing wasn't smooth. If a 108th finish wasn’t bad enough, Kai had to undergo left wrist surgery in January to address stabilising tissues of her ECU tendon and TFCC.

Everything was paused for her till now, but moving forward, there’s some light at the end of the tunnel. And it’s not just her golfing career that Trump has mapped out.

Kai Trump Is Focusing on Her Degrees

Having tapped into business in 2025, Trump is managing two things simultaneously at a young age. Be it her clothing brand KT, her endorsement or NIL deals, or professional golfing, she has it all planned. But that’s not all.

This 18-year-old has chosen a double-disciplinary degree in business management and marketing at the University of Miami. The reason is that she’s “very interested in both of those”, and this “could also help build (her) brand.”

Now this is how you make a comeback. Things may not have worked in her favour in the past, but Trump is ready to tackle things once again, with better planning.

Going forward, how do you think her golfing career will look? Comment it down.
