Having tied their win-loss column to 1-1, the Dallas Wings will try bouncing back against the Minnesota Lynx in a few hours. But will Paige Bueckers be part of that run?
During the 77-72 narrow loss against the Atlanta Dream, the Wings’ star’s efficiency dropped to 15 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists, compared to her season-opener performance. However, she wouldn’t be limited to it.
Per ESPN'S latest tracking, the 6’0 Wings’ Guard is listed as active for her next game. And there has been no on-court injury ripple she came across, either. In short, Bueckers is good to go against the Lynx.

So far, the 24-year-old is looking healthy and has been playing regular minutes as the team’s primary starter and key offensive contributor. She is averaging 17.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists under 32.0 minutes.
Bueckers’ injury battles in the past haven’t been easy. The former UConn Huskies’ star went through multiple surgeries during her collegiate career. Notably, a back-to-back lateral meniscus tear and ACL tear.
But moving past those roadblocks, the Wings’ Guard is going steady in her 2nd WNBA season. However, the same couldn’t be said for the Wings’ 2026 No.1 draft pick.
Paige Bueckers’ Former Teammate, Azzi Fudd’s Status Update
The No.1 pick and former UConn star, Fudd, hasn’t really started a game for the team yet. In her debut game against the Indiana Fever, she posted just 3 points and 1 rebound off the bench, playing 18 minutes.
Following that, Fudd did not appear against the Dream either. And the Wings’ coach, Jose Fernandez, brushed past the topic when he was asked about Fudd’s minutes or medical condition.
“I’m not gonna get into the minutes’ situation on opening night. Out of an abundance of caution for her long-term health, we’re keeping her out tonight,” the coach stated. “I’m not gonna discuss anything medically in regards to her… She’s a big part of this team.”
Whether Fudd plays against the Lynx or not will be a Game-Time Decision. But certainly, Bueckers will again lead the offense.
