Indiana Fever’s Stephanie White Shares Update Away From Court

Jan 21, 2026, 9:30 AM CUT

Most Indiana Fever players are enjoying their offseason, and their HC is no exception. Stephanie White has been spotted courtside supporting the Indiana Pacers. But on Monday night, she took to her official Instagram account and revealed that she has been invited as a special guest speaker at the St. Louis Summit on April 11.

“Excited about this event. Let’s gooo!” she wrote in the caption.

This appearance places her on the same stage as other major figures in the sports world, including Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach Matt Rhule and former NFL linebacker Will Compton.

The Summit is an intensive high-performance event focused on developing leadership, mental toughness, and discipline. It is led by performance coach Ben Newman, a two-time Wall Street Journal bestselling author.

This year, it will be held at the 1st Phorm Headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, with White as speaker. She would be sharing the core principles behind her coaching philosophy and success.

After all, she’s had an impressive coaching career herself. She previously served as HC of the Connecticut Sun for two seasons. Even in 2023, she was named WNBA Coach of the Year after leading the Sun to a 27–13 record.

Her first season with Indy in 2025 further cemented her reputation. Despite dealing with an injury-riddled roster and the absence of key players, she kept the team competitive.

Notably, Indy pushed forward until the 3X WNBA champion LV Aces in the semifinals eliminated it. Also, she won’t be alone at the Summit.

As for concerns about the timing, just days before the draft, White’s appearance fits naturally within the offseason calendar.

The Indiana Fever in 2026

The WNBA has entered a holding pattern, but the league and the players’ union remain far apart. While the league is offering 70% of net revenue, the union is pushing for 30% of gross revenue. For now, there’s little movement from either side.

As a result, the league is already feeling the impact. The season has been delayed. There was no expansion draft, and more than 100 players are expected to hit free agency.

And Indy’s no exception. Currently, only three players, Aliyah Boston, Caitlin Clark, and Mikayla Timpson, are under contract, and the rest of the roster is set to become free agents.

And since the league is under a temporary moratorium, no new contracts can be offered. So, that delay only adds to the uncertainty surrounding the 2026 season.

Still, White is expected to return to Indiana with a clear goal. She will look to guide the Fever back to championship contention and bring a title to Indianapolis for the first time since 2012.

Can they? And are you excited for the Indy HC?
