Indiana Fever’s Guard Makes Offseason Move Amid AU Pro Basketball Chapter

Aerial Powers is making a major offseason move. Following a turbulent 2025 season, the veteran guard is relocating to Nashville to join Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball.
She vlogged her journey and posted it on X with the caption:
“It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey 😘 Thankful for everyone who’s embraced the real!! The highs, the lows, and the growth in between. ⭐️ This next chapter? I’m excited.”
She also filmed her Nashville apartment moving-in video with updates on this new phase of her life.
The main excitement centers on Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball, a women’s professional league that offers 40 elite players a year-round competition in the U.S.
The 2026 AU season runs from February 4 to March 1 at Nashville Municipal Auditorium. Apart from newbies like Powers, Tina Charles, Kiah Stokes, Deja Kelly, Te-Hina Paopao, and Ariel Atkins, it includes returning players like Theresa Plaisance, Lexie Brown, Alysha Clark, Isabelle Harrison, and Kia Nurse.
“@AUProBasketball is gonna be a blast, and I can’t wait to bring y’all along 🏀✨”, the 32-year-old wrote. Along with the WNBA, she has also played for the Turkish Super League.
Powers' Rocky 2025 Season Recap
After signing with the expansion team Golden State Valkyries in June, she was waived. The Indiana Fever came as a silver lining in mid-August. The roster was already struggling with Sophie Cunningham, Sydney Colson, and Aari McDonald's injuries. And with Caitlin Clark sidelined, the veteran guard was called to a seven-day hardship.
However, Powers earned a season contract on Sept. 6 to play for the Fever till the end of 2025. In 10 regular-season games (eight with Indiana), the 5'11 guard averaged 7.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2 assists. Now she's an unrestricted free agent.
Powers is not playing Unrivaled, and her shift to AU could be a bridge towards a potential WNBA return in 2026.
