“I Could Maybe”: Caitlin Clark Comes Clean on Whether She Can Dunk

Amidst an honest conversation with Travis Kelce and his brother Jason, Caitlin Clark revealed one thing she can't do well.

While talking to the Kelce brothers on the New Heights podcast, the discussion came to dunking, and while Travis Kelce could dunk, the Fever star and Jason couldn't. Clark gave Jason a few tips on dribbling, but when it came to dunking, she had a clear answer.

"I obviously don't dunk. H*** no. I could maybe like grab the rim, but like I’m not anywhere close to that. I just shoot threes, and that’s good."

Even standing tall at 6'', Clark can only reach the rim. But it might not be a surprise for fans. Last season, it was just Brittany Griner and Jonquel Jones among active players who dunked regularly.

However, considering Clark's other talent, shooting threes, she doesn't need to dunk. Last season, she made 34.4% of her three-point attempts, and despite an injury-riddled 2025, she managed to reach 27.9%. She even managed to reach 40% back in her first season with Iowa.

And while she doesn't have too many tips on dunks, Caitlin Clark left fans with some advice

She reflected on the habits that young players pick up and how easily those habits can become ingrained.

“I feel like with a lot of young kids and young basketball players, their form is like so jacked up. But like I feel like it’s a pretty easy thing to pick up on, like from a young age.”

Clark even shared a personal memory from her own childhood.

“My elbows would be out like this. I’d be throwing it like that because I wasn’t strong enough. It ruins your form, and then you have those habits going on through the rest of your career.”
