Hilary Knight and Seattle Storm Highlight Cross-Sport Support in Seattle

Flau'jae Johnson’s arrival in Seattle could not have started better, as women’s hockey great Hilary Knight welcomed her.

In Knight’s latest Instagram post on April 20, the duo posed for a photo together, wearing Seattle’s respective women’s hockey and basketball jerseys.

This link-up comes after Knight headlined the 2026 SheBelieves Summit presented by Deloitte on April 15. The event is U.S. Soccer’s premier leadership platform designed to connect and inspire the next generation of women leaders.

The 36-year-old might have been the best women's athlete to headline the event, as Knight has built a career worth adoring in hockey.

She has won five Olympic medals (2 gold, 3 silver) and 10 medals in the IIHF World Women's Championship, the most of any women’s hockey player.

In her most recent stint at greatness, "Captain America" led Team USA to the gold medal in women's ice hockey at the Winter Olympic Games held in Milan-Cortina.

Team USA overpowered rivals Canada in OT on February 19 to add another feather to Knight's cap.

“It's a wild experience trying to make Team USA,” Knight said. “It's a really hard roster to make, and a lot of people have a hand in getting you there."

Also, Knight made a surprise appearance alongside teammate Megan Keller on Saturday Night Live and also appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

And as if that weren't enough, Knight's deflection in the gold medal game that led to a goal for Team USA in the other direction also got her on a TIME list.

Hilary Knight Named in TIME's Most Influential People List

Knight made TIME magazine's list of the 100 Most Influential People in 2026 after she did great things at the end of the game that helped Team USA win the gold medal in women's ice hockey for the first time since 2000.

Knight joins the prestigious list, which includes people from all walks of life, be it artists, sportsmen, businessmen, or even politicians.

POTUS Donald Trump and Alysa Liu are some of the examples that have featured in the list.

Hilary Knight ended her legendary Olympic career with a record-breaking 15 goals. She scored three goals at the Milano Cortina 2026 Games, one of which was the dramatic game-tying goal in the final.

She has scored 33 points in her career, making her the all-time leading scorer in Olympic ice hockey for both men and women.

So, in what direction do you think this newly received fame will lead Hilary Knight?
