Golfer Kai Trump is already planning for a future beyond the course. The 18-year-old recently revealed her intended college majors on Instagram, drawing widespread praise from fans for her business-minded approach.

The 18-year-old golfer’s season hasn’t really been successful the way she’d want. Instead of trophies and wins, there have been injuries and rank push-backs. But Trump knows exactly what she wants to do in college, though!

“I want to major in Marketing and Management, because I'm very interested in both of those,” the golfer said in her Instagram video, posted on April 2. “I want to do that in college… I think that could also help build my own brand as well.”

Utilizing her social media influence and NIL deals, Kai can tap into business any day, and the degrees she has chosen will enhance her run big-time. And the fans online had something similar to say.

Trump’s LPGA debut at the Annika last year exposed major struggles and scope for improvement. The 18-year-old missed a cut and finished last in the field, in 108^th. Though she expressed a desire to carry on golfing professionally, the fans have also supported her academic decisions.

“Doing marketing right now, definitely a goated degree,” one user wrote. Another added, “Good choice, keep it up. God bless.” “Kai! That sounds so awesome…,” said another fan. While another wrote, “You go girl... You'll be great in whatever you choose to do.”

However, one fan specifically shared their two cents with Trump. They highlighted that Kai should do something that she actually wants and that feels right to her, rather than doing something for the sake of a competition.

“Kai, don’t compete with anyone; your path is uniquely yours. Take a step back, breathe, and ask yourself if you’re choosing this because it truly feels right or because of outside expectations. Move with intention, not pressure, and stay connected to what feels real for you right now. No matter which path you choose, it doesn’t define your worth; you’re already enough for who you are, not for what you do.”

Meanwhile, the majority supported her decision. One fan even particularly added that she should’ve chosen a different university than Miami, which would’ve been better for her Majors.

“Should’ve gone to FSU! But that's ok. You will be a Cane that I root for. Perfect major choice. It will serve you well,” they wrote. While another added, “You’ll do amazing in these fields!”
