Caitlin Clark’s name has popped up in the middle of college football's biggest moment. And of course, it is related to Indiana.
The Indiana Hoosiers became the national champions for the very first time in college football. Following the clash against the Miami Hurricanes at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, the Indianapolis-based team defeated Miami 27-21.
As congratulations poured in, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark’s voice was among the loudest.
What a story @IndianaFootball give coach cig his movie now!! Congrats!!!!!!!

Per ESPN, Coach Curt Cignetti was hired after the 2023 season to redeem the program that had zero double-digit wins. In just 2 seasons, Cignetti helped the team head into the national championship game with a 26-2 overall record.
With the final win, his record now stands 27-2, as the Hoosiers became the first 16-0 team since Yale in 1894. It was only apt that one CC (Caitlin Clark) acknowledged the other.
Everything went down to the last seconds in the fourth quarter as QB Fernando Mendoza threw 168 yards with a 12-yard rushing TD to put Indiana 10 points ahead. While Miami could have taken the lead at 1:42, Hurricanes Carson Beck's interception helped Indiana close the deal.
Besides Caitlin Clark, Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton also congratulated the national champions.
But it was Caitlin Clark who cheered them all the way through
The Iowa alum who once denied the Indiana Hoosiers 5 wins in their head-to-head battles in college basketball was thier biggest cheerleader before the final game.
"Big Indiana fan Monday night" and "Hope he scores 3 TDs Monday night", she wrote in response to wide receiver Elijah Sarratt’s interview moment where he revealed that his gif was named 'CC' after Caitlin Clark.
And she didn't stop at that. Elijah Sarratt and 'CC' both received an open invitation from the Fever star. She reposted Sarratt's picture of "CC the queen of cuteness" along with Sarratt and captioned it, "Both are welcome courtside this year."
She then posted again before the game, “Best of luck to @IndianaFootball,” she wrote on X. “We are all pulling for you !! Get it done.”
Now you already know how well that aged.
